The sommelier of our restaurants Aromi and La Finestra, Flemming Laugesen, has obtained for you an exclusive and very limited range of Sicilian wines from the young Italian Wine star Arianna Occhipinti.

Arianna comes from the area of Vittoria, on the south-​eastern side of Sicily in the proximity of Ragusa. The area is world-​famous for olive oil. Apart from the olives and olive oil tradition, Vittoria is also still the only area with a controlled designation of origin guaranteed in Sicily, for the wine Cerasuolo di Vittoria.

Arianna Occhipinti is the niece of Giusto Occhipinti. Giusto, together with Tito Celia, owns the important winery in the area, COS. Arianna, with her 100,000 bottle annual production, has eclipsed them and everyone else in this part of Sicily.

We have managed to get 540 bottles of wine that had just arrived in Prague. This is our entire yearly allocation, so we are selling them on a first come, first serve basis. When they have sold out, it will be another year until the next release.

Exclusive wine offer from Arianna Occhipinti:

SP68 Bianco, 483 CZK - It’s a blend of the local grape varieties Albanello and Moscato di Alessandria. It’s a white dry wine, friendly and price right.

SP68 Rosso 2012, 483 CZK - The classic Frappato and Nero d’Avola blend is made in stainless steel for easygoing enjoyment. Rosso has an excellent price-​quality ratio.

Il Frappato 2011, 755 CZK - This is a pure rendition of the local grape variety, which is light-​hued, elegant and downright sensuous. It is an excellent example of how red wines in the hands of a talented woman, on the south coast of Sicily, can retain freshness while portraying finesse and complexity.
